50,000 SQFT SPANNING FIVE FLOORS AT 300 ASHLAND WERE TRANSFORMED INTO CREATIVE AND CULTURAL SPACES SHARED BY BAM, 651 ARTS, THE MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY AFRICAN DIASPORAN ARTS AND THE BROOKLYN PUBLIC LIBRARY. STRUCTURAL ACCOMMODATIONS WERE MADE FOR RETRACTABLE LIGHTING, PIVOTING PARTITIONS, ACOUSTICALLY ISOLATED AREAS THAT INCLUDED MULTIPLE CINEMAS, MULTI-PURPOSE ROOMS, AND DANCE STUDIOS. TWO NEWLY INTEGRATED ARCHITECTURAL STAIRS WERE INTRODUCED INTO THE BASE SUPERSTRUCTURE ALONG WITH NEW FLOOR AREA THROUGH THE BUILDING PROGRAM AT MEZZANINE FLOORS.
